We offer a quiet, natural atmosphere in the beautiful Chihuahuan desert with magnificent views of the Huachucas. Highly private, yet easily accessible to the towns of Sierra Vista and Bisbee, this is the perfect setting for renewal of the spirit.
Our cozy straw-bale Casita offers comfortable lodging in the oaks of the Huachuca Mountains, centrally located in Southeastern Arizona's birding paradise. At 5200 feet in elevation, the nights are cool and the stars bright. The property is within an Important Birding Area (IBA) as defined by the National Audubon Society. There is a wide variety of bird, insect, mammal, and reptile species on our six and a half acres, representing the diverse wildlife unique to the Sky Islands of Southeastern Arizona. Many hiking trails are nearby.

Because of the high elevation and superb insulation properties provided by the straw-bale construction, temperatures in the Casita are generally comfortable year round. Electric heat and ceiling and floor fans are provided.
The spacious room (320 sq. ft.) contains a queen-sized bed, dining table and chairs, and a small sofa. A comfortable queen-sized deluxe air mattress can also be set up. There is a private bath with shower stall, heat lamp, and hair dryer. The kitchenette has a microwave oven, toaster, coffee grinder, coffee maker, electric fry pan, and refrigerator with freezer and icemaker. Water for ice and drinking are from an installed reverse-osmosis system. We provide all dishes and utensils for cooking. A generous assortment of foods and beverages for breakfast awaits you to prepare on your own schedule.
Birders are always welcome to visit the property, whether they are guests at the B&B or not. Access is easy, and comfortable chairs are provided. Visitors and guests are also welcome to walk the trails of the six-and-a-half acre property. A donation from non-guests is requested.

Rates are for single or double occupancy. Extra person $25.00/night. There is a limit of three adults in the room or two adults and two children. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Discounts: A 5% discount will be given to members of ABA, Audubon Society, and AARP. Only one discount may be applied.
Reservations and Deposits: Reservations will be held for no more than 10 days pending receipt of a deposit equal to 50% of the total bill. Travelers' checks, personal checks or cash will be accepted.
Cancellation and Refunds: There is a $15.00 service fee for all cancellations. The deposit minus the cancellation fee will be refunded only if notification is received 14 days prior to your arrival date. On shorter notice, credit or a gift certificate will be issued only if we are able to rent the accommodations to others. Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of late arrivals or early departures.
Check-in Time: Guests may check in between 3:00 and 6:00 PM. We highly recommend that you plan to arrive before dark if this is your first visit. Prior arrangements may be made for early or late arrivals.
Checkout Time: 11:00 AM, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Children: Well-supervised children are welcome.
Restrictions: Sorry, no pets. Smoking is allowed in a designated area on the patio only. No playing of bird tapes on the property except by prior arrangement.
Gift Certificates: We have certificates available for any dollar amount or number of overnights, and for other services, such as flowers or gift baskets. Upon receipt of payment, we will send the gift certificate to you or to the recipient. Certificates are valid for any time. We are happy to help with arrangements for special occasions.
Environmental: We are an environmentally responsible business. We do not use pesticides or herbicides anywhere on the property. We recycle and compost whenever possible. Friendly dogs are in residence. Our cats are kept indoors. No smoking or animals are permitted in the Casita to keep it as allergen-free as possible.
Southeastern Arizona is rich in the history of the old West, with old Mexico close by. The area is known for its biological diversity, pleasant climate, and beautiful scenery. Pick a destination, or simply relax here on the property. We are a well-known birding destination in our own right.
